Aw, hell, folks, things is fixin' to get raw! We got with us tonight one of the queens of the blues, a diamond in the rough (and I do mean rough!), the great Lucille Bogan!
Now, Miss Lucille comes from the old Juke Joint circuit, and in them places, which ain't fit for finer company to say the least, it's truly anything goes. And I mean anything! They say, do, imply, drink, and perform whatever, rules of proper conduct be damned.
And our Miss Lucille...well, let's just say she ain't the type to use a three or five letter word when a four letter one will work just as good. So, I'm warning you folk that just about anything is liable to come out of her mouth tonight, and I make no promises, so send the kids to bed before listening to tonight's performance.
